Was kümmert uns?
In Under my skin geht es um unsere eigene Wahrnehmung.
Try hard, get barred, get back, write braille dreht sich um Medien der Dokumentation.
Schaut rein!

The academic year begins with the module analyze. The focus is on analysis and research. How can a social situation be understood and how can we develop design strategies for action from this. This year’s programme has three main focuses.
Sign O‘ the times is about the signs of the times. What do we care about? What are the topics we deal with as designers? What questions do we ask ourselves and how do we pursue these questions? How do we interpret the answers we receive? And how do we develop concrete solutions?
Under my skin is about our own perception. How can we recognise things, approach them and connect with or separate ourselves from them?
Try hard, get barred, get back, write braille revolves around documentary media. How to document projects, workshops or other works in a lively way using a media mix such as text, sound, image, video and illustration. How does the sum add up to be more than its individual parts? How do the media used complement and reinforce each other?
A particular challenge this year will be the forms of teaching themselves. A course of study thrives on exchange, random conversations during the breaks, new friendships and spontaneous project ideas that come together as if from nowhere. How can we deal with this in the current COVID19 situation? A large part of the teaching is hybrid. Two workshops deliberately work with the physical presence of the participants* and are accordingly „analogue“. And we will test a new programme: Happy Hours from 17:00-18:00 as a digital offer with lectures, talks and presentations. Some of it will also be public and announced here on hypermagazines. Take a look!
