«Mapping Abolitionist Futures» is a zine and a workshop guide in two parts, developed as part of the Prison Times @Dropcity project. It proposes a concrete engagement with abolitionist debates. First, we collectively map the spaces of control and oppression in our cities – where prisons are are only the most visible architecture of a layered punitivist logic. Secondly, we envision possible abolitionist futures by engaging in a time journey to a society as we would like it to be.
We have been developing this workshop since December 2024 in Basel and Milan. In June 2025 we’re happy to share the method with everyone through our zine.
